Project FACT

Save the Date for the 3rd Annual Project FACT fundraiser!
November 9, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In support of the the Inova Ewing Forensic Assessment and Consultation Team (FACT),  M.E.G. is hosting a donation drive to benefit child and adult victims of sexual and domestic violence. FACTS’s mission is to address the unique needs of abused children and adults. They offer expert medical evaluation, forensic evidence collection, and provide expert interpretation based on training, experience and medical data.

In an effort to support their mission, we are collecting new clothing and non-clothing items during our Project FACT donation drive.  The donated items will be distributed to survivors of sexual and domestic violence.

All proceeds and donated items go to the Inova Ewing Forensic Assessment and Consultation Teams (FACT) and victims of sexual and physical assault.

Mission of this event:
“All donated items will go to help survivors of sexual and physical assault. When a victim/survivor of sexual assault has a forensic exam their clothing is often taken as evidence. At the end of the process, victims are exhausted, traumatized and want to go home. Your donations can help make sure they have clean, new clothes to go home in. If a victim is homeless or displaced, your donations can provide them with some essential items for when they settle into a safe location. While a change of clothing and a bag of toiletries may not be the first thing that crosses someone’s mind when they think about the needs of a survivor, these items help address a survivors need for compassion, safety and comfort after trauma.”

Inova Ewing Forensic Assessment and Consultation Team’s (FACT) mission is to address the unique needs of abused children & adults. They offer expert medical evaluation, forensic evidence collection, & provide expert interpretation based on training, experience & medical data.

Our 1st Annual Project FACT was a huge success! Over $5,800 was raised along with numerous bags of clothing!
