Color Me Brave Holiday Visit

On December 6th, we visited Inova Children’s Hospital along with Santa and his elves. The kids loved their coloring books and meeting the entire crew. The parents also appreciated the activity books that we had for them. Santa started off in the local fire department’s ladder truck. He waved and greeted the kids. Many of the kids even spoke to Santa via “walkie talkie,” and asked him for special gifts this year. Then Santa and his elves made their rounds on all three floors of the children’s wing bringing joy and laughter to all.

For over five years, local police and fire department personnel make a monthly trip to Inova Children’s Hospital to engage with the kids and their families. During their visits, coloring books, crayons, stickers, and other goodies are given out to bring smiles and joy to the patients.

Each year, over 500 coloring books, crayons, stickers, and other items are passed out by our local heroes.
